I have alot of guy friends, but theyr all really nerdy so its not like a typical highschool girl-guy friend relationship. They always are hinting that they like me more than a friend and I have told most of them that im really not intrested. Sometimes I even get gifts or flowers and it breaks my heart to turn them down. A couple of them wont give up and now im getting angry...is that wrong of me? Also when i find out theyr talking about me I get mad, and now everything about them gets me mad. Im not really into nerdy looking guys , so I was also wondering if its ok that I dont date some guys because im just not atracted to them? in , prehaps harsher, terms They arent good-looking enough for me to want to date....is that mean of me to think to myself?
I have trouble even looking up at them because i get angry when I catch them even looking at me, and I just want to be left alone now. But theyr my friends and they wouldnt understand.
So I want an opinion if theres something wrong with the way I react or feel about certain things in life.?
No that is not wrong of you..We can't help who we are attracted to and who we are not. I was in the same boat as you hun over my life time. I always had nerdy friends as well ..I think at first it was nice having men I didn't have to impress but they were never happy with the just friends thing..they always wanted to buy me things and tell me how much they liked me and yes I got mad too and even went off on them a few times..
Best advice since they are your friends and you don't want to lose them..just get over it.. be happy that they are looking at you and they do like you.. I always try to put myself in their shoes..have you ever liked a really hot guy but he acted like you were nothing to him? Think before you act that way to them..maybe you are their hot girl! So smile more and be sweet. And try to treat them how you would want that hot guy to treat you.
