Would you date a decent guy like this one?

Someone that thinks about you every single day, checks on you at least once a day when away from you, gives you gifts (clothes, flowers, jewelry) for no reason other than that he's in love with you, wants your companionship 24/7 (or close to that), is easygoing, mature, affectionate and loving, writes small love notes for you, helps with money even when he's hurting for it too, puts you first before self, family or friends, plans and arranges trips for the both, listens, comforts and rarely ever fights with you and basically worships the ground you walk on.


Oh! and this guy would be about 6' tall, 155 1lbs and in his early 30s.

Would you date a decent guy like this one?
The 24/7 companionship thing really creeps me out. You have to be careful about crossing the border from affectionate to clingy. You sound nice, but that statement right there is pretty off putting.


Also, I cant trust someone who is blindly going to put any girl he dates before his friends and family. Friends and family are important and if a girl is going to be with you she should accept them as part of you. If she does otherwise then she is a bi*** (for lack of a better word). And if you will go for any old bi***, then you probably have some issues with codependency and I wouldn't want to touch that with a 39 and a half foot pole either.


Besides that, I have a list of requirements out of the guys I date, and you didn't mention one of them. For example, I have a requirement that the men I date be able to provide for themselves. It doesn't have to be lavishly, but I expect them to be able to buy their own food and put a roof over their own head. Also, you didn't mention anything about your drinking and drug use habits. Those things are very important to most girls. I have a rule that the minute I see a guy take a shot first thing in the morning, its over.


Like I said earlier, you sound nice, but your description sounds a lot like your pandering to what you assume all women in general want. And while most of the things you've listed are admirable traits, they say little about you as a person. You could be all those things and I could still find you terribly dull or offensive. You might find also that not all of this would be true with any woman. You might find you were to fight with me a lot if we were to hook up. Maybe you'd find me hard to listen to.


You are off to a good start, I suppose, but I wouldn't go posting that in the "About me" sections of your profile on a dating site.

Reply:Okay, well I am not answering your ad, but I'll answer your question. I wouldn't. I mean it's kinda creepy if a guy worships you, thats more like a stalker, and I wouldn't want to be put in front of his family or friends, because they should love their friends and family just as much, and I wouldn't want a 'perfect' relationship like that, it's healthy to argue and I want a guy with his own opinion and to be quick and smart and can have a back bone. There needs to be things like that otherwise I would get sick of it in like 2 days.
