The Guy is an old batchmate from high school(not very close).
Is a student so not a very expensive gift.Would Flowers work? If yes..what kinds?!
What kind of a gift should a single guy be giving to a couple on their wedding.(Bride old high school mate)?
Did they register somewhere? If so, pick out something from their registry. That way you know you are getting them something will want/need.
I have given things like: flannel sheets, a bottle of champagne and a pair of candles, gift certificates.
Reply:It is generally considered appropriate to give a gift equal to or greater than the cost tht the couple has spent to have you as a guest of their wedding (the cost of the reception and dinner). This could range from $30 for a very low budget wedding to hundreds of dollars for a high budget wedding. Something that will last is more appropriate than flowers that will die quickly, especially if the couple is heading on a honeymoon after the wedding and cannot enjoy the flowers. If they have a gift registry, then you can get them something off of that. If not, something else would be appropriate that you know that they either need or can use. If you get them something that is not off of the registry, then alway get a gift receipt in case they want a different style or type then they can exchange it. If neither of them has much kitchen equipment, some sort of appliance is always nice to get.
Reply:Flowers die and you don't want to send that kind of message. They are probably registered somewhere. Find out. Usually things are from inexpensive and up.
Reply:a picture frame or a gift certificate for dinner somewhere
Reply:Orchids or Tiger lily. You chould just give a photo album or a gift card for a resturant. They know you and know the limit of your gift giving.
Reply:hmm toughie.
I would have to see what they might want or need. Maybe get them a small appliance to a decoration. A nice picture frame to put a wedding picture in might suit as well.I think flowers might be out for one reason there's gonna be quiet a few at the wedding. I would say maybe between 30-60 dollars. Maybe adda small card too.
Reply:Flowers are fine maybe tulips or carnations.
Reply:DIVORCE PAPERS..
Reply:A very inexpensive but thoughtful gift can be to buy a cheap and cheerful gift bag and buy one or two nice cookbooks and a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine, then they can have fun together cooking up a meal and enjoy it together with a nice bottle of wine.
Reply:Give him ear plugs and aspirin.
Reply:Matching baseball bats, because sooner or later, it's going to come down them trying to kill each other.
Reply:No, I definately don't think flowers would be best choice. Seems and I'm a female so I hate saying this, lol...but too girly. Soooo lemme think, lol.
Elegant picture frame...they'll need lots of those for wedding pics.
Scrapbook set... do it yourself scrapbook sets are cool and again, lots of pics to put up.
Anything weddingy from Hallmark...knick-knacks etc.
Blanket...cutesy on the couch throw
Wine glasses
I dunno, lol....I'd honestly suggest just browsing Hallmark. Some things may be pricey there but they do have alot of smaller inexpensive things that are timeless and very memorable and heart felt. I guess if you do go with flowers probably a Gerberra daisy, sunflower mix.
Reply:something jokey
maybe a framed old school photo
ah memories
puppy teeth
