Getting a flame started with an old acquaintance..?

Well, this is the last place I'd ever think of getting advice, but.. A little background; I'm coming off a failed, but what was, a serious long-distance relationship - we seperated over differences that we couldn't work out . It was my first serious relationship, and grew via phone, email, letters, and IM while she is at college in OR. I'm ready to start searching again, but closer to home..

I happened to be poking around Myspace and found an old friend. I haven't seen her in about 3 years, since I moved 55 miles or so east. We were acquaintances from church, and saw each other pretty often. I had a crush on her, but never had the guts to say (ahh being a kid). I contacted her, and she remembered me! I wrote a little note, but she's been kind of quiet - she told me how I can keep in touch, email, etc. I had a little "e-flower gift", so I sent it to her and she said "thanks!", but thats about it. I have a "charmer" personality, but I can't get it going....

Getting a flame started with an old acquaintance..?
Good Question.

Well you have taken the correct first steps to get it going but like all guys you are hestitant to push foward. Depending on her age you might not believe it but she maybe shy a) because she doesnt really remember you, b) she wants you to run the show. You have nothing to lose, go to the same church and see if shes there, be inconspicious as if you were going there for prayer. If she is say hi and start up a conversation. Since you got her email the next step would be for her number, but dont ask for it directly obviously. Tell her you enjoyed your past and would like to relive some old memories, ask her to a movie or just to hang out at a bar. Ask her what she likes to do, then ask if she would like to do it with you. If she gives you the "nodd" then you are in, otherwise she is probably taken or likes being single. Remember if you had a crush on her it is possible that she had one on you so go for it.

Light my fire is a good song :)

Good Luck
Reply:Dude, I think it's time for you to become a man and move on. You need to gain life experiences rather than just going back to what you know and are comfortable with. Bone a couple of chicks and have fun. You'll grow as a person and won't have the regrets you'll have if you don't try new things in life.
Reply:Just drench her in some benzine and throw a match at her and make sure you RUN! good luck
