What is the best gift ...?

Just a few questions about gift giving in relationships... (all are opinion based)

1) What is the best gift to give to your significant other (not married) on an "anniversary" (such as dating for a year or two, or even 6 months) and Why?

2) Would you prefer a gift with a large price tag to one that is sentimental and cheap?

3) What are the gifts you should give on anniversaries when you are married? (China, Silver, Gold) and what years do they correspond with?

4) When in a relationship that is failing would you give the same type of gift as if you were in the worlds best relationship?

5) What is a romantic gift that isn’t over used?

6) Do women prefer classic gifts such as Flowers, Chocolates, and Teddy bears, or creative gifts such as ... personalized perfume? (Perfume was just an example; feel free to list other gift ideas)

7) What gifts do men like to receive?

8) Does receiving only a card really symbolize a cheap significant other?

An appropriate gift could be the The Martha Stewart Housekeeping Handbook. You can get it new in shrink wrap for a total of $24.32 by mail here:
Reply:1.) Ummm probably go really simple with it, a card expressing true feelings and a small gift that would only mean something to the two of you or something that only the two of you could do together!!!

2.) I would most defiantly prefer something sentimental that i could look at and go "wow, he really loves me and takes the time to think of what i like" than just see a price tag with a large amount on it. Money does NOT bring happiness.

3.) Umm i don't know all of those things right off, but i mean you don't have to abide by those rules, you could make it more personal and special by being creative.

4.) Umm probably not, i mean you would still go with creative and meaningful, but you want to go above and beyond to show there are no limitations for your love for that person. Make sure the gift has lots of love behind it.

5.) A basket type thing with a bunch of small stuff that mean a lot to the other person and make sure you add stuff that means something to only the two of you...

6.) Flowers and teddy bears are nice as a relationship is new, but once you make memories together and have more silly jokes and you know what she really likes, defiantly go with creative gifts with a true meaning behind it!!!

7.) Well i am not a man, but i would say something dealing with his "hobby" or something silly that symbolizes yawls relationship.

8.) Depending on the occasion, a card is very personal and heart-felt. You can write true deep feelings to someone in a card.

Reply:The best gift to give is one that would be really appreciated.

Usually this requires some intimate knowledge of what a person really wants.

One suggestion to give and receive gifts that you really want is to use YouCouldGetMe.com
Reply:If you need a cool gift idea, these personalized soaps from soapcard.com might do the trick. They make romantic heart shaped soaps with your photo and personalized message embedded inside. I got one for my boyfriend and he loved it. You can write all kinds of funny stuff. My boyfriend thought it was super cute, .the "Think of me when you're feeling dirty" soap was the one he loved the most.
